For the record, I am a Republican, through and through.

I disagree with you though. This trial is more about the states and politics in general than Clinton and the Democrats. Personally, I think Clinton is a disgrace. But that is irrelevant.

States like New York, Connecticut and Utah, in the end, will be the real problem that MSFT has to deal with, and this is not a Democrat/Republican issue. I am sorry, but you are off base.

This is good old competitive rivalries between companies being taken to the political playing field. Companies like IBM, SUNW and ORCL had to resort to the political platform as a last resort. MSFT was/is eating their lunch and left them no choice.

I agree that if Reagan was in office the landscape might be different from the DOJ's perspective, but that is more a reflection on the man and not his party. Republicans and Democrats alike will react more and more to $$$ as we move ahead because that is where politics in general is headed.
