Press Releases. Followup. Strategy: For every TVontheWeb, Aent.etc press release with "bla bla bla Ampex owns..." tacked on to the end, we need a press release that is issued by Ampex, as per Carl's approach. New slogan: AMPEX FIRST! At this point, PR is as important to the emergence of Ampex as a powerhouse in the Internet arena as are the actual moves being made to accomplish that end. If George Bush (sr)'s ZAPATA can go from being an oil company to being a food company to being a Web Hosting company and go from a $3 stock worth nothing to a $24 stock worth nothing, then Wall Street has no complaint about AMPEX. (Zapata is down now because they gave up on and then started up on and then who knows...the point is it jumped massively the day it started into the Internet arena, we deserve no less.) Even if only temporarily, folks, we are in roughly the same position as Bramson who works for $1. a year: as owners, are we just going to sit around and let others do our work? This is our company, we must make it successful or be considered bad managers of our own wealth.
