IMO, it doesn't matter.. but PSYCHOLOGICALLY.. it will add to the panic. Imagine a situation where share prices are crashing, gold is rallying, tech earnings SUCK, there is a war going on in Kosovo, and the Russians have sent warships into the Mediterranean. it will appear to many that the mkt is saying we are headed into WWIII. In reality.. that is not the case. Once the mkt implodes... NATO will back down. And Kosovo will be but a blip in history.. but it will set up a larger conflict somewhere in the future, IMO. This is all just pure speculation of course, until it happens -g-
