You asked Scrapps, but since I'm bored...I've thought about this, and 1) USR spokeswomen said that there would be a press release when the x2 modems were shipped.
2) Any additional press releases only draws attention to the delay, and heaps more "coal on the fire", so to speak. They want to down-play the delay, of course. If there were too many press-releases from USR hashing over the fine-points of "why the delay", it would only make things worse, IMO.

PS- Like someone posted already, another few days doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Also remember, these share price hits affect the "top brass's" shares held also.
