The board is reacting to the demands of the stockholders- What I see so far makes a lot of sense. Cut SG&A (it's 11% of revenue - back in the good ol days when I was there it was 4% and we were competitive, creative, and growing). Provide some vision and leadership - its E commerce stupid - where EDS was always good - where there is a lot of paper - a lot of people and a lot of money. Processing E commerce transactions including business to business is not unlike the processing of zillions of health care claims EDS did in the 70's and 80's before GM. EDS can create an AMAZON.com in 60 days for any customer with its global capabilities. It's crying out for some decent leadership. And it looks like the right CFO was recruited as well.
