Doug,
I'm looking at that same generator, but I have a 'two-fold' purpose, since I have a home office full of computers for my software business. I have installed a manual transfer to my panel...but just tried (for grins) my 3.5KW generator, and it didn't cut it.

Do you know approx. how much propane the Kohler model burns per hour in gallons? Also...do you have to specify propane or natural gas...or can it burn both? Finally...do you think its a bad idea to tap in to the natural gas for Y2K purposes?

Thanks,
<bobr>
