Harkening back to the original purpose of this thread:

The date is August 1, 1990 for the downturn of more than 40%. It will last at least until August 31, 1999. My reason is that Nostradamus, who was notoriously accurate in some of his predictions, has in his writings, predicted a monumental cataclism (sp) in the "eighth month of 1999"
