8 days may be a bit tight. Something between that and 13 might stretch the gains some without giving too much away in terms of time in or out. A "busier" strategy would be to move half at 8 and the other half at 10. That would be safer than a single threshold and still give you room to maneuver while also giving yourself opportunity to catch wider swings.
