Ron--- I will never be privy to the truth, but when we bomb another country as in Yugoslavia,, Iraq, Grenada--- who presented no threat to us then I have to wonder about the reasons offered.. Chomsky presents the best analysis IMO. His reasons seem to be backed up by evidence, unlike the administrations'.....
The fact that the US does not pay it's UN bills,, the fact that the US votes no in almost every progressive human bill at the UN--- The fact that as news comes out years after nasty incidents in foreign lands the US was involved even though at the time it was denied --on and on-- The fact that they used the UN to build an excuse to devaste Iraq,, and very deftly sidestepped the UN inorder to carry out this latest genocide...
I don't have to be totally aware of all of the reasons and where they stem from--- I just have to look at the results-- Always the same---Death , misery , disease and devastation go in the wake of all of these Desert Storms and whatever other stupid catch names they dream up.. It takes quite a twist of the imagination to somehow turn that into good guy stuff..Domination and spreading fear fit a lot better, in fact it takes no effort at all... Just the ugly realization that we are wearing the black hats and not the white ones that we thought.... |
