More I look at other companies, the more I love MSFT.

- Take netscape & AOL.

- NSCP - Netscape - is being taken over by AOL.

- Netscape has 95 mill shares o/s; and is losing money. For all of '97, they lost $39 mill. For first 10 months of '98, they're losing $60 mill.

- AOL, for the latest quarter, did $.22/share on 561 mill shares fully dilluted basis.

- given the all-out war that's going to take place for internet subscribers, I think AOL suffers & their thin profits take a hit. Especially when you consider they charge the most for a commodity service.

- Having said all that, AOL is at $150; NCSP is at $95; and MSFT is at $93.

- yet in '99, MSFT should do about $1.40+ per share - which gives it one of the lowest p/e's for the gorilla-type companies.
