... 1gb. I lean towards the later. I would agree. For one the fab updates, for MU and others, moving to the 8" line is not that old. Right now with the profit line so narrow it would not make sense to invest that much right now. But even more to the point is that not all of the equipment vendors are capable of giving a 12" line needed to produce the smaller sizing issues. To special order REALLY adds to the cost. Better to wait right now.
