You could say the same about VLSI and C&T. quote.yahoo.com They were selling at 10 3/4 before the Philips bid, which is close to the IPO price. Same thing with C&T before the Intel takeover. If you buy when they're undervalued, you might get a takeover premium. The fact remains that Creative makes a lot of money, while AMD loses a lot of money. Somebody might be willing to take over the better value.
