Have any of you been to a mountain lately? Step in bindings are not popular: they are more expensive, require special boots and don't provide the same degree of control that traditional bindings do. The only thing MRKR has got going for them right now apart from their share of the ski binding market (50% some would have us believe) and the low stock price is their ownership in Santa Cruz boards which I see a lot of kids riding.

I sold my planks and bought my first board 5 years ago and my weapon of choice is a Burton, proudly made in VT. They own the biggest chunk of this highly fragmented market and are very well managed, however they most likely will never go public.

Don't mean to burst your bubble but I don't see MRKR as a growth stock, there are myriads other attractive small caps out there that you can play with.

P.S. Okemo sucks, for a real mountain try Stowe or Sugarbush
