Rob Grogg;

3 Com is a stock I have never traded in but I hear that they are having difficulty integrating last year's merger acquisition business. I did not think the sailing would be as smooth as their management had hoped when they did the merger. I would stay away from it right now. Of course, if your a contrarian? Keep your eye on SEG on Monday. Believe it or not, that is the best place to make some money right now.

KMOG, I read your questions about KMOG last week and tried to find their customer list but nothing is listed. I don't know how big a supplier to SEG they are. I know that SEG makes some of its own vinyl platters so I really don't know how valid the link is between KMOG's business and SEG's gross orders' revenue. Also, KMOG is a company that's been on the ropes for a long time. I'm pretty sure that the Japanese don't buy much from them because they don't buy anything they don't have to from anyone. Nationalism and all that. So, KMOG gets only a part of the market. Also IBM is very insular so they may not be ordering much either. Between IBM and the Japanese you have a large chunk of the market share that KMOG probably can't access. When IBM and the Japanese were not a big part of market share, a couple of years ago, KMOG probably had a good business. Now they may have to find something else to do. If they can ship 10 million platters (a record) and they still can't make money they are not ocmpetitive in today's marketplace.
