*Americomm spam* Looks like crap to me. I've written to Q! asking them to update their photos of Globalstar handsets and correct the written information too. There was a link to Q! in the Americomm url.
satellitephones.net

Here is the Q! url and the phones do NOT look like this. Q! Website is asleep at the steering wheel.
qualcomm.com

If people start clicking on that Americomm url, they won't be thinking Globalstar is anything good.

The handset prices are low compared with what recent discussions have suggested. If you send money as a deposit to that place, I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get your money back or your handset delivered. There wasn't a mechanism to take your money, so it is unlikely just now.

There was just a scungy email contact - no forms or information.

A silly Statue of Liberty dumped up the left hand corner.

I can provide a decent Japanese/English url service for US$50 per hour. Here's what a good, cheap, url looks like:
snowadventures.co.nz
Complete with Japanese or English language, photos flashing, click through and all the stuff. A multibillion $ company should do better than a kid on a snowboard.

Then there is the Globalstar per minute pricing.

What a mess of absurdly high prices. How is somebody supposed to know what a call will cost them when they are somewhere or other? Will it be on the display before they push SEND or is it just a lucky dip with ugly great bills if you are in the wrong place?

It's not enough to match prices - Globalstar is offering a brickphone so subscribers need to have countervailing benefits. Sure, able to make a call is very good, but maybe not enough to fill our system and maximize our revenue.

Thanks for the url Valueman; it's nice to see what's going on.

Hey, Globalstar, do you want a decent Japanese/English/Chinese url to sell some handsets?

Maurice
