annual report not out until april 15. the 4Q98 news is VERY disappointing. i was really hoping that ULTR would have held the 4Q98 loss to $0.10-0.20. a $0.30 loss means they have wiped out most of their cash (since we can expect a loss in the range of $0.05 to 0.15 for 1Q99). (my understanding from the company is that they've worked out the cash/credit problem. i guess we'll hear about that april 15.) given the company's balance sheet going into 4Q98 and past 4Q performance, it's hard to imagine how they can lose so much money. they obviously blew tons of bucks on those credit card mailings, and didn't get the sales they expected (resulting in $1 million lost, rather than $1 million in earnings).

i am not altogether certain that we can't recover nicely in '99. ULTR
will likely turn in a profit for 2Q99, given the sales to K-Mart and the AAA deal. if Telebrands is a go, the royalties from that deal alone will make the quarter.

monday should be an interesting day. i can't imagine selling at current prices, though i admit that i seriously considered selling out myself when i first heard 4Q98 was going to be so bad. hopefully, those of us who hang in will be rewarded later this year.
