There is nothing really magic about AOL's pattern of opening up, selling off and then closing strong. The latest verbiage I have heard to describe it is "churn". AOL is a hotly sought after stock right now because the Street is finally realizing it's awesome potential.
That makes for a lot of up and down action during the days trading.
The fact that it usually ends up higher attests to the underlying strength of the stock.
