Barron's Review, part two.

6. A sweetheart article on Lexmark. I don't know how they make money, but the author tells us they will continue to do so.

7. A blah article on the global economy, "Beware The Healing Globe."

8. A bizarre "Economic Beat" from Gene Epstein. He answers critics of his many mistakes rather goofily. When he talks about how he used bogus data from Merrill Lynch to conclude that the savings rate is not really negative, he said that he was right even if the data was wrong. <g> Also, Benderly is in a class by himself as a forecaster. In a postscript, he notes that new jobs increased 46,000 in March, right in line with Benderly's forecast of 300,000 plus. No wonder he is in a class by himself. Who would want to sit next to him? <g>
