Global Telesystems Ltd started e-commerce and networking services

Bala:
Here is a bit more news on the subject I picked from Walletwatch,India,do note the last paragraph carefully.
==============================
Global Telesystems Ltd, which started out as a telecom equipment company has been organising itself now in the wake of exciting opportunities in e-commerce and networking services. GTL is now engaged in designing value added networks, designing software for system integrations / exports and undertaking project management /engineering assignments.

A large distribution network of 26 branches, 250 dealers and 1600 retailers spread across the country provides GTL with an edge over competition and also helps it move up the value-added products chains. The current order book position stands at about Rs 120 crore for consumer telecom, Rs 150 crore for software development including e-commerce and messaging, Rs 150 crore in networking and around Rs 15-20 crore for engineering services. All the orders are to be executed over the next 12 months and GTL is expected book further orders during the year as well.

GTL will soon be known as a software company and valuations will reflect the same. It may be worthwhile to include the scrip in your portfolio for medium-term gains.
