Jr, Don't confuse the start of WWIII with a global thermonuclear war that would end our existence. I believe that those with nukes would not even consider using them in such a war. There is not nearly enough hatred among the world powers, in my opinion.

We don't hate China. Russians don't hate Americans. Japanese don't hate Chinese. Etc.

So I think that if we had another "world war," that we could still come out on the other side. This is because I think it would be more of a "world stalemate." Lots of bark and little bite.

Yes, I am known for going out on limbs here. But it is thru this type of logical extrapolation that we can better see what MIGHT be down the road and we can prepare our families or finances accordingly.

For example, I see the financial community "catching up" on the Kosovo news and reacting this Monday accordingly. Might be a great time to check on those hedges. Which leads to one of my other questions. . . .what could be a hedge that could lock in profits, should China devalue AND the war continue in one form or another.

Gold is lonely.
