Murderers are very strange birds. (At least those who commit premeditated murder. I lump together in the category of non-premeditated murder everything from accidentally hitting someone while driving your car to carelessly offing someone during the commission of a crime.)

The ickiest thing about premeditated murder is, what do you do with the body? There is no simple, elegant solution. I think this is why most murderers get caught. I mean, suppose you use acid, or fire, you've still got to explain why you bought a drum full of acid, or why you used your furnace to incinerate 150 pounds of meat with very large bones.

It always amazes me when I read about seemingly normal people who tried to hire hit men to get rid of a spouse, when there are at least 50 ways to leave your lover. Everyone else on earth has figured out how to get out of a bad relationship without paying some idiot to kill said spouse. What's wrong with these people?

The Bundys and Mansons of the world don't puzzle me for a second. They're crazy. That's all. Brain abnormalities, whatever, it's not like you or I are going to suddenly snap and start engaging in sexual torture and murder.
