wily,

have you read this regarding uninstalling ie5.0?

If there is a chance you may uninstall Internet Explorer 5 and restore to a prior install of Internet Explorer 4.x or higher, we recommend you create a backup copy of Loadwc.exe, found in the \Windows\System folder, before installing Internet Explorer 5. Note: When you uninstall Internet Explorer 5, Loadwc.exe. is not saved and restored. To restore Loadwc.exe version 4.0, copy the backup version of the file to the \Windows\system folder, and choose to overwrite the newer version when prompted.

the above taken from:

microsoft.com

here are 2 ie5.0 uninstall help sites, in case you haven't already visited them:

support.microsoft.com

support.microsoft.com

the first one is for beta.

good luck wily,

mark
