I will take a guess that you see yourself as a soldier of sorts. And you pulled the April Fool's joke as a release of tensions built up inside you, due to the Kosovo crises.

That is about as good as I can do with it.

Regarding differing minds. . .

I don't write between the lines, nor do I bother reading between them. 98 percent of the time, I say exactly what I mean to say. Never in my life have I been one to take a hint. Girls never liked that, but it kept them honest and straightforward.

Saying something in such a way that you never really say it, says nothing to me. So subtleties go unnoticed. I almost never adapt my thinking towards that of another. What is the sense when I have an endless supply of personal views and philosophies?

We briefly discussed authors. I have always preferred reading a text-book to a best-seller. A phone-book to fiction. And a list of raw facts and statistics to a commentary. I prefer my news direct from the wire service, than filtered thru a newspaper. My favorite authors are philosophers or visionaries. . . and almost never writers.

Well how far off are we? Diametrically opposed?
