Three weeks ended April 1 in review.

For the THREE weeks ended Thursday, Intrawest rose 9.5% on the TSE, 10.1% on the NYSE to 25.90 and 17 respectively.

Those impressive gains came despite the flat to lower performance by other sector participants (MTN was up 0.3% while SKI fell another 3%).

Has the market finally decided to value Intrawest on its own merit? The recent spate of positive Intrawest articles and news releases lends credence to this view;

April 1: Bear Stearns reiterates buy, strong skiing season intact

March 31: CIBC Oppenheimer initiates coverage with a strong buy

March 31: Intrawest Announces Record Skier Visits for Ski Season; Recent Real Estate Success Supports Future Growth marketwatch.newsalert.com

March 30: Westin Resort Tremblant Sells Out in One Day; Project Announced by Intrawest and Starwood Hotels Gets Enthusiastic Response marketwatch.newsalert.com

March 26: Feature article in Canadian Business magazine, "Boomers in Paradise; When baby boomers want to chill out with the family, they're willing to pay handsomely for the privilege. That's big money in the bank for resort developer Intrawest Corp.", pages 68-74.

March 25: Westin and Intrawest Announce Westin Resort Tremblant marketwatch.newsalert.com

March 23: Cowen & Co initiate coverage with a strong buy

Whether you talk technicals or fundamentals, Intrawest appears to be primed for a move to higher ground, particularly in advance of their third quarter results. Scheduled for release on or about May 12, the consensus call is for solid third quarter earnings of 94 cents a share. techstocks.com

My target price for Intrawest, supported by layer after layer of good news, remains as bold as ever.... $32. Stay tuned...
