Amazon estimated auction count: While Amazon does not yet report auction counts, there are empirical methods, based on search terms, that can give us a good estimate, and can allow us to compare these counts to eBay. Right now, based on 16 different search terms, it appears that Amazon currently has about 3 percent of eBay's auction count. Amazon: 55,000 eBay: 1,858,000
