The horror that investors glean from the idea of insiders selling is sometimes humorous. I personally know a couple people that are high level company exec's and hold millions of shares of some very successful companies. These people have wives that want BIGGER homes and expensive renovations,etc. They also have kids that need to go to college and need cars etc. Since these men put all their tangible assets into getting the company off the ground.......they now need $$ for these various things. Selling their shares doesn't always reflect on the company's future prospects......sometimes they have to simply make their wives happier! Nothing wrong with that as their wives and families usually have suffered while the person worked his butt off to make a successful business venture.
