And yes they see the writing on the wall, as does China. Both are full of hot air. The Russians are hypocritical opportunists taking advantage of the situation to drive a wedge in NATO and take political pot shots at the US. Not too loudly however. They dont want to threaten the chances of getting more IMF loans. The military "exercises," the launching of a missile in the North Sea, a nuclear test, sabre rattling, the deployment of the Black Sea fleet (wheres the rest of it? Probably cant get it out of port), all of it is a chimpanzee branch-rustling threat display on a grandeous scale, no more. |
