A Starch is Born

The house looked absolutely beautiful, especially the candles that lined the driveway. We stood on the patio, and admired the view, it was so clear that Catalina could be seen.
A short walk was in order to settle us down after the sumptuous viands provided by the excellent and highly desirable caterers.
We moved slowly down the steps into the large spacious yard surveying the panorama of beauty laid out below, a million souls glowing in the night, blessing the union by being part of the beautiful tapestry of light laid out for the guests.

The explosion completely drowned out the quiet background sound of the wedding, an object passed close enough to make my hair whoosh out and replace the space recently a vacated by the air. I turned in surprise and saw what appeared to be a postal worker and several of his friends standing near a hedge, out of sight of the house. They had some enormous PVC contraption and a bag of Idaho Red potatoes.
They mumbled something to the effect of "Sorry man, boy you're lucky."
