Hello Morgan,

And a Happy Easter to you and the other Gorilla watchers on this thread.

I agree that JDS/UNPH definitely has the potential to be an Intel of the Telocosm. Something I've always wondered about is why Intel is considered a Gorilla. I think their market share was so great, at least at one time, that they automatically got the Gorilla name. I don't believe their products carry a gorilla-like feature of being the standard in the industry that every other company feeds off of by making their products compatible.

Sure, many companies slap on the Pentium chip name as a marketing tool, but do these companies have to do a lot of changes to their computer box to just change the chip from a Pentium to an AMD chip? It seems to me that they are interchangeable, making Intel a King.

I see UNPH as the same deal. They are experts at what they do and will have a nice market share following the merger but don't have the characterists of the Gorilla, unless I'm not up-to-date technologically on their exact products.

Appreciate any and all comments on Intel being/not-being a Gorilla.

See ya,

Grant
