Good Morning CK.......I have been using your posted information, sources and web sites......Thanks very much for all the information that you have gathered. I do live in the mountains of Wa...to your north....I am having to do this on a low budget...but I have been in my home for years, and already am on propane, and have an all propane stove, with no electricity to it...and I have a propane furnace that supplements the heating from my wood stove, which is my main heat for my house..... Now it is the food that I am concentrating on....and have been buying now for months...... I did get a small gasoline generator.....and that is for a power transition time....get the last things out of the freezer, and cook it...and that It will probably be cold here I am going to add a cooler...old times, like my mom had in the old house..... Again thanks for all of the information.... I just had a question asked of me this AM, and perhaps you can answer it......and this is based on that we may have power....Re; VCR's Question....The year 2000 will be a leap year, with Feb 29....In a school in Eastern Wa, the students were given info that the year would not be a leap year....so setting the VCR to the year 1972 would not work.......can you assist me....Do we have or not have a leap year next year.... I hope that make sense.....I am tired as I have been very busy working with a few neighbors this past week...on Y2K.....and I am the only one with the computer, so am researching answers to their questions, and products...............Karen
