No, pretty sure it was weather, reported by a reliable source...but do not recall which reliable source (redherring? maybe cnet/news.com). But I would have guessed business news/stocks would be number one...and maybe it is. You can always cook the numbers, maybe the stats were for a particular portal. And that brings us to the idea of full service portals--news, weather, sports, nudies...I just dont understand why big portals like AOL or Yahoo are so popular, especially with investors. Seems to me that attempts to gather up all the stuff you think an audience will want to see, and jam it into your portal is the exact opposite of what the internet does best...
