Same reason CacheFlow backed out (see CacheFlow's press release). They believe the testing methodology (WebPolygraph) is unrealistic. It has never been too difficult to devise products that do well on benchmarks, and maybe even win magazine competitions. Second-tier companies have always been great at this (AMD, Cabletron, etc). But real-world performance and serviceability is quite a different matter. Of course, this is a free country, and you are free to believe that Novell has technology far better than Cisco's and NetApp's (faster performance, lower price, wow!), and you are free to believe that Novell is a cutting-edge network company. This being April 4, you are also free to believe in the Easter Bunny. Believe this -- and invest on it -- at your own risk.
