MSFT to the DOW 30 was what I posted about a few months ago. I was told(by some individuals on this thread) that being in the NYSE is a condition before a company gets added to the Dow. I guess they are now publically saying that maybe exceptions can be made. I don't think the NYSE is going to lure away Microsoft, Intel, or Cisco---so the only options left is to add Nasdaq stocks--with the first candidate being MSFT.
The question is when? I hope we start getting a lot more of DOW 30 index funds going just like the S and P 500 index funds. It should create an effect similiar to AOL's when it was added to the S and P.
