Gerald. We see some footage now about killed people laying by the way side. Serbs say it could be the KLA that got killed fighting.

Well, yes, I know what you are saying in your example. But I guess we will never find out what the US would do. We are leading the way as far as peacekeeping forces are concerned. I am wondering what our GVT would do if our States would try to break away, chip by chip.

There seems to be talk between some moderate Kosovo leaders and Milsovecic but even if they agree, it looks like NATO would carry on? Dr. Strangelove?

Still very confusing stuff going on. Henry Kissinger has been an outspoken critic of Clinton's policies but is backing him up, now that he got us involved. What else is there to do now? He says we GOT TO WIN FOR NATO TO SURVIVE AND AMERICA NOT TO LOSE FACE.

We will get 20,000 temporary refugees from Kovovo. I am sure this will be only the beginning. When was the last time anything was temporary? I can only think of tax cuts. gg. But those refugees are in dire needs and it does look grave for them in this situation. I am at the point that I am thinking about sending money. I guess it will go to the right place.

Yes, it is strange that quite a few young men are making it to the border. But mostly old men though.

I am sticking with my thinking that those soldiers got snatched in Macedonia despite some eye witness accounts that they strayed over the border. There was this older man in this village saying this but who knows what side he is on.

One good news I am hearing. It has been said on the SERB side that those soldiers will NOT be tried and will be released after the bombings stop. And they are being treated well. Hm. Too bad no RED CROSS personnel has been allowed to see them yet. Maybe this has changed by now.

Apache helicopters are on their way now and will have support troops. Can ground troops be far behind? Someone said: It's getting closer to the ground. First missiles, planes and now helicopters. So, what can be next?

One democratic strategist said last night to Ollie North: Why are you so against sending troops to Kosovo? You didn't have any problem going to Vietnam. What's different here? Answer: Yes, you are right. Dem. President Mr. Johnson sent me there and I obliged the call, even though, when we came back, we were told that we had no business there.

What's the diff. here? Well, we see those refugees. Correspondents are pretty quiet compared to Vietnam.

Good thing this is Sunday. I was not going to talk about this anymore until we get more info. It looks like we are getting it. Waffling has started, I think.

I watched my grandchildren hunt Easter eggs etc. today. And then you look at those pictures on TV of those refugee children and wonder how things like this can happen in a European country in this day and age.

Sonny
