Re: "The lucrative Server and Workstation segments are now just a dream to AMD - as are profits."

I noticed that elsewhere in that article AMD was asked to compare the K7 to Intel's Xeon or the upcoming Coppermine.

"PCV: Since the K6-III is intended to compete with the Pentium III, how well does the K7 fit in your product lineup? Is the K7 intended to compete with Intel's Coppermine or Pentium III Xeon?

AMD: The K7 will move AMD into the high-end of the PC space. The K7 is designed to deliver performance that is superior to the PIII."

This looks like still more backpeddling by AMD. They refuse to compare the K7 performance to Coppermine or even Xeon when confronted with a direct question. What happened to the claim of fastest x86 in the universe?
