Bob, I have to disagree with you again.

Seeing platinum users post about how they are "moving on" because they did not get IPO's and that sort of thing bothers me

Who cares id a platinum user leaves. A thousand peons will fill his/her place.

As an E*Trade stockholder, you don't want to piss up peons [and yes I know you didn't call Non-Plats peons ;-)] off. Us peons make up the vast majority of E*Trade accounts.

To use your logic, State lotteries should only give people who buy 100 lottery tickets or more a chance to play. Of course, to do that would turn away the millions of 1 ticket a week purchasers. Not good business. Economies of scale, is the way to go. E*trade needs to keep growing accounts.

The trend is going toward more open IPOs. Wit Capital is going to be the catalyst to level the playing field. E*Trade will take away it's favoritism soon enough.

Also, if you trade 75 times a month, you are much better off using a daytrading firm. Why waste all that money on E*trades dubious system? Traders are more interested in immediate executions and system availability.

IPO's for everyone!
