Jim -

A date of 31 Dec66 is stored in the computer as -365.

And what happens if that number (-365) is moved to either a text or unsigned field? And then someone else picks up the 365 'knowing' it's a date field?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to single out PICK, it's just that statements, such as coming from Apple, about their OS being Y2Kok tend to lull customers into not worrying about applications and datafiles.

There are some five layers to the Y2K problem... hardware, OS, applications, datafiles & data sharing (sneakernet).
