Bravo Hiam! [RE: We are now in 1999 and what happens in Kosovo is not permitted. It is true the events there were anticipated and for today's situation France, Germany, UK and US are to blame. As to Russia? They should better keep it nose out of Serbia and the Balkans!!] What unreal cynicism I see in posts by people who suggest that Clinton or Gore, or whoever, are just trying to drive attention away from 'scandal' at home. Such talk turns me off like a light, and is sad. Do you agree? Isn't it just possible that the US knows that this thing would spread anyway into more dangerous waters? And as you stated, How can this be like the Crimea et. al? Imagine the pressure the Surbs will feel to invade neighbors as those driven out of Kosovo gain support to 'get back their land'. Next thing you know Greece, Turkey and a slew of others will want to join the mix. It is unavoidable. I think you agree with me that the events in Kosovo stand on their own, and that no historical reference is either valid or necessary to justify what is going on there. B. P.S. If somehow this thing spreads to the ground, what affect do you think it might have on the US markets? Interested in your thoughts...
