We could be getting more than a bit confused over the overlap among "adoration", "love", and "desire". It is perfectly possible for a man to wildly desire a woman that he does not adore or even love; would this make him a better or worse lover? From a male perspective, I suppose that the physical gratification level of sex with a woman who adored me and wanted nothing other than to please me might well be greater than what I would experience with a woman who I adored, but who "merely loved" me. This would have to be weighed against the rather rare experience of actually having an experience I really wanted, even though it might not live up to the expectation. Part of the disadvantage of the first sort of encounter: the adoring female who wanted only to please would inevitably be trying to please as an avenue toward taking full possession and control of the man's entire life. It is difficult to fully enjoy what a woman does in the bedroom if you are aware that it will require something on the order of high explosives to get her out of the bedroom. I confess that both alternatives seem extremely hypothetical at the moment.
