Henry - don't know who he is, but as usual appreciate your comments and perspective. Maybe he does have a point about returns from equity funds not matching the headlines of 'the market's' returns. My feeling is that there may be a decline in confidence generally in America - everything has gone so swimmingly well for so long - the end of the century definitely belongs to the U.S. Events in Europe and the Y2K problems are clouds on the horizon. On Y2K I am unable to make a personal judgement - on such basic matters as hydro and provisions - but it's a big question mark out there - sometimes markets need an excuse for a decline, and I'm not sure that the comfortable little 5% correction mentioned by a previous poster is all we'll see. 10,000 is still a resistance point - not support - although I've been wrong so many times I have to add the caveat BWDIK. d
