ASND's core carrier revenue is accelerating and CSCO is delaying their products in this space. I do not believe that the industry would have lauded the acquisition of Ascend at 20 billion (or at all) if the technology there was on its' way out. CSCO will likely end up buying a player to compete with Juniper in this space. My understanding is that the Nexabit box does something like 6.4 terabits with its' ASIC solution.
