I think you are right as to only one system surviving. I guess there will be a lot of space junk floating around in a couple of years, the legacy of the Iridium system. In 3 or 4 years, instead of watching Iridium flares, skywatchers will be looking for Iridium fireballs as they fall back into the earth's atmosphere. Good thing Globalstar has their array above this future orbiting graveyard.
