I have **seeenn* the future, children. The *future* of *laptops*. And it has a place in it for Iomega Zip drives. :-)

Sorry 'bout that. Anyway, I was in Computer City yesterday and looked at the Toshiba Laptops. The model T405CS comes with a standard 1.44 Mb 3.5" floppy. But it is REMOVABLE! They sell a CD-ROM that plugs into the same bay.

This is GREAT! I don't know what interface is used, but I'll bet it's standard IDE. You could easily manufacture a Zip drive to plug into that bay. Iomega could do it if Toshiba doesn't.

Does anyone out there have the ear of someone at Iomega? Iomega could design and announce a Zip drive for Toshiba laptops!
