Dale, I do know that some unfortunate longs believe this to be the center of the trading universe. I'm sure most company shills think it would be easier to distribute worthless stock to gullible investors at (even more) inflated prices without the balance provided by short sellers. But it really is disingenuous for that writer to forget to mention what was going on in the market, and in particular in small caps in the first week or so of 10/97. Sheesh, wouldn't we be rich if we could just post a few things on a message thread, cause the stock to crash, and then move along to the next profit? Why waste time doing research? Barb
