sorry what you are saying does not compute. default partition? win 95? home? I presume you mean what partition boots under Lilo or boot manager. Like I say be specific.

In Linux partitions are named like /dev/hda2

In Linux fdisk or in /etc/fstab you will see the disk layed out as
in the file you showed me.

/dev/hda is your first IDE hard disk. /dev/hdb is your second Hard disk.

partitions on hda would be /dev/hda1/ /dev/hda1 and so on.

/dev/hda1 may be msdos partion that your Linux system will see.
