LAS VEGAS, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Casino Journal Publishing Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CJPG) and the Michigan law firm of Fraser Trebilcock Davis & Foster will produce the Northern Gaming Summit, a gathering of casino executives, gaming vendors, public officials and Native Americans in Detroit on October 12-14, 1999. The Northern Gaming Summit is a conference and trade show that will focus on the northern tier of gaming jurisdictions in the United States, along with Canadian casino operators. Detroit was chosen as the site of the conference because the city's three temporary casinos have announced that they will be open by the October dates. The conference will present a complete update on the state of the Detroit casinos and the Michigan Native American casinos.
Activities at the Northern Gaming Summit will include keynote speeches by some of the most important executives involved in gaming in this region of North America, an extensive exhibit hall to give gaming vendors access to these executives, special events, and several tracks of seminars focusing on the individual gaming jurisdictions and issues important to those jurisdictions. A large portion of the conference will be devoted to the operation of Native American gaming facilities in such states as Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Canada, as well as the government owned casinos of Canada.
