Hi Michael, Daniel, and Mario --
By the bye, Michael, where IS Steve? He disappeared a year ago or so. I learned about options through his posts and outside reading, but still prefer actually having the stock. One has to watch options very closely, and I don't yet have the time during the day to do so.
Daniel, you may be right about spiking, dropping, and breaking through on the upside, but I'm content to hold my additional shares for that break through (if earnings are good). Glad you've joined the "40 Club" -- once a lot more people do so, it could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Welcome back Mario. I think it's great to take the kids on vacation--it's something they'll always remember. We still do so when we can, but since they're adults it happens less frequently. As long as Atmel's earnings progress, I see this stock at 100 (or equivalent should it split or be bought out) before the end of 2001; that's the kind of earnings growth I envision. I think everything's in place for explosive growth. But world conditions (a war, anyone?) could change things.
Cheers/t |
