Peak, Don't get me wrong, I do believe that there will be a lot of shake up in the industry. I believe that the time is passing rapidly where per seat costs will be measured in the thousands or high hundreds. On the other hand, no one that puts in plain-jane vanilla document management gets a big bang for the buck. The appealing thing about DCTM and their partners is the focus on high value vertical applications. That will never go out of style. What may happen is that these vendors of technology end up looking more like line of business (front or back office) application providers. The business domain experience is the fun and profitable part (high margin software is fun too, but it never lasts forever). If someone were to buy DCTM, who do you think it would be?
