Most all food products are lower now then they have ever been<<adjusted for inflation>>.. Whole live hogs are selling for 45$ here in michigan. Last years corn brought only 1.60.
There is too much production in the market place, and with the technological advancements I would guess that prices, over the long term, will continue to fall.
Do you see any farmers making big bucks????? NO. why?
If corn were bringing 5-6 bucks you may have a point. But it isn't, hasn't and won't for a long long long time. Too much land, too much food, too much technology....
