FORE declines comment on telecom report ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PITTSBURGH, April 5 (Reuters) - FORE Systems Inc declined comment on Monday on a newspaper report that said the Warrendale, Pa., company was close to finalizing a telecom deal with General Electric Co. Plc. GEC.L. "We do not comment on rumors," FORE Systems spokesman Jim Blew told Reuters. The London paper Sunday Business said General Electric was close to finalizing telecom deals and one likely target was FORE Systems, valued at $2.5 billion.
